Time really flies. 4 days of Emerge just passed so quickly. All that I could remember is that these 4 days of mine, I really spent it so fulfilling. Every single day at Emerge is so worth it.

Now lets get back to the 4th day, the finale of Emerge conference 2007. Before that, I want to tell you friends that this is like the best service ever, I enjoyed it for the whole day. And it is a waste that you guys couldn't join me. Alright, so the Sunday morning kicked off with 2 services, one at 10a.m. to 12p.m and the other at 12.30p.m. to 2.30p.m. Both services were the same actually. It is made so such that more people can actually come and listen to it. Because due to capacity limitations, one service the maximum amount of people is around 10k+.

The morning service started with a drama presented by the drama ministry titled, "PVC rocks". (PVC is their short-form for Pandan Valley College) It is a really good musical drama that is similar to 'High School Musical', and I think that is where they actually got the inspiration from. The dance, music, songs and the script of the drama is collaborated and written by themselves. The play is amazing and I really like drama lots as well. One day I would like to be in the drama ministry and well my cell group leader encouraged me to.

After the drama, pastor Kong came up and teach us about the word of God, telling us that each one of us is a light, that we are to shine out in the darkness because the light does not hide itself. You do not cover your light nor candle right? Light gives us life, plants make food for animals to eat which in turn gives us food. Light gives vision, where without light we can't see. Light dispels darkness, because light is so much stronger as light eats darkness and not darkness eat the light. Darkness cannot exist whenever there is light.

So to be precise, I went for both service, watch the drama twice (which in the 2nd time they improved and made it funnier), and listened to the word twice. It is really better because repetition makes us able to absorb it better, and understand it better.

The 2nd service ended at 2.30pm and the finale session would start at 5 in the night. We took lunch and spent some time at hall7 before we went to queue up. The response is really good because I can see the queue being so long and so many people queuing up and anxiously wanting to get in. Quite a few of our cell group members were sitting with their cluster due to prize presentation that night. Therefore only 6 of us were sitting together and praise the Lord that in the end, even though there are so many people, we managed to get a seat in the middle. Which is already difficult for normal service yet during the grand finale we are able to get.

4.50p.m. we started with 'Winning Eleven' finals which the 2 finalist compete using the projector, so it is really like watching a football match together. Final score AC Milan 2 - 1 (err. some other team, I've forgotten the name). And the event started at 5p.m. with a count down just like Thursday's service.

For the finale service, we had lots of prize presentation for the 60+ competitions held in the past few weeks. And also the announcement for the winning cluster, which for secondary cluster, the South won and for tertiary cluster, Junior College and CI.

Also the announcement for the winners for Spelling bee, word power and Goodness I tell you, the group that won the word power, they came up on stage and they showed that they are worthy to win because they had to play again. However just once one, they choose the question by random numbers and they had to recite out the verse with full punctuations. This time, its more fancinating because each of the 3 member take turn to say one word each! Which basically means 1st person says "we" then 2nd "won" and 3rd goes "!" but the verse is really long and with many punctuations.

And also the winners for talentime, with the different categories of drama, hosting, vocal, group, dance. Winners of the Parade of School, for secondary cluster and tertiary. But only the winner for tertiary came up to perform once more.

After the prize presentation, we sang songs, had so much fun and the atmosphere is really high as I can really feel that people are really getting so hyped up, including me. And then the word which is About the trumpets being pass down since long long time, which is for us to spread the gospel. As many of us Christian knows that there would be a 2nd coming of Jesus Christ, which is coming really soon in this generation. Which basically means that we are the last generation to impact, to save the people already. This is already the last calling for those that wish to repent for their sins.

After which we all sang songs, talked to God, really everyone brought up to God. Repenting for our sins, we clearly admit and realise that God sent his son Jesus to die so that our sins can be forgiven. Pastor Kong shared touching stories and interview the Lady entrepreneur of 77th Street which is from City Harvest Church. The stories really touched my heart and I could feel God and I just wept. So many years of my life, I have not cried in public already.

And really the last last part, we got worship song (Great is our God) in 3 languages English, Chinese and Japanese! So we sang lots of time with the 3 language. And wow really the atmosphere is so amazing. We go:

    No I won't deny it./Uchi Kaesanai
    No I won't deny it./Uchi Kaesanai

Great is our God./Idainashu (and all go: HEY HEY HEY)
Great is our God./Idainashu (HEY HEY HEY)
    Make his praise loud,/Sanbiga
Make it loud, make it loud!/Hibiku, Hibiku.

And hand in hand, shoulder and shoulder, everyone together as one as we sway and sing the song (something about friendship). The balloons came down from the top at the end and confetti blew out from the back. Everyone having so much fun. And thats the end of Emerge 2007 and I'm so looking forward to it next year!

I know it may sound boring to you as you read my entry here, but I tell you, it is for you to experience it in order to feel and understand what I am really talking about. 4 full days of being in God's presence, I tell you, it is so worthy of your time.

Take good care of yourself people, God bless ya' and I hope to see all of ya soon!
