I'm soooo happy today. Like I've mentioned in my previous previous previous... post on my medical screening, I wanted to challenge my greatest fear. And YES! I've did it today! I finally went for my 1st ever blood donation.

Hmm.. Even though the stupid needle is so freaking big, and even though the prick on the finger is painful, surprising the big one didn't hurt at all due to the anesthesia(wonder if i spelled it right?)

Thank you Ai and jL for supporting me man, even though I was kinda nervous initially. But I'm glad for the checkups and the haemoglobin test, it really did prepare me, cuz I knew there was no turning back. And thank you jL for reminding me that Jesus shed blood in a more painful way to save lifes, which made me realise I can be more like Him in this manner.

[When I started before jL..]

Best thing is, me and jL donated side by side~ wee lol, at least we can chit chat while donating. And well, after that I guess because I hadnt had enough water, I got a little dizzy and the nurse made me nervous by telling me she'll get the doctor to look at me. And I gotta lie down and they raised by legs up, which looks really weird. (see below.)

Ok but don't worry it's fine haha. One suggestion is do drink sufficient water before you go for donation, it helps to increase haemoglobin level. In case of those like jL and Ai who dont know what is haemoglobin, it's actually red blood cells. So if you drink more water, you won't get dizzy like me.

I do hope that you can be like me too, give blood and save life. Here's the details and criteria needed for successful blood donation:

Siglap South Community Centre
March 15th & 16th 2008 (sat & sun)
11am to 5pm (registration closes at 4.30pm)
- be 45kg and above
- not under any medication
- healthy and feel well
- does not have the AIDS virus
- not pregnant

*please bring along your IC/Student ID/(or whatever ID.)

Back to a little gaming, well because it appears to be fun? Currently playing Granado Espada (GE). And yeah I know I'm a little slow in starting this game because quite some time ago people already started playing, but well, I suppose I'm at my own pace?

So the above picture shows my characters sitting down on the steps, watching my brother's character(with blue icon on the top of the head) fight for me. I just started out playing for the 1st day, and my brother is kind enough to lead me to the newbie zones and help me lvl =).

And its really nice to grow from level 1 to level 13 in like 3 - 4 hours? Nice, but the bad thing is, I am unable to load the game in my office network, supposingly they restrict the access.

Well, I believe gaming too can build up relationships. At least that is better than not talking at all. So its just our way of communication. Cheers people. God bless ya and take care.

Lately I've been reading a book my friend, Jinlong recommended to me called, "The Purpose Driven Life, What On Earth Am I Here For?" written by Rick Warren. The book has sold over 16 MILLION copies and it is the #1 best-seller in New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Publisher's Weekly.

I strongly recommend this book because:

Many people at the 1st impression from this blog would say, "oh, its another one of the money-earning blogs". Yes, I don't deny it. Its true, I've just started out and I'm trying to fund my allowance from this place, no doubt about it (and it would only be possible with support from you all).

But that is just the surface level, I do not create this blog just to earn money, earning money here is a secondary issue. The reason why I created this blog is because I felt the need to share with people out there about amazing things happening in my life.

I used to hate writing, my previous blogs were just a whole chunk of blabbers about my life. I post like mountains of wordings that doesn't make sense. My attitude towards myself and people were wrong, I self-pity and was self-centered. Pride matters everything to me. I didn't accept losing, I was a sore-loser. I don't set out to win yet I do not admit defeat.

After I submitted myself to Christ, I read the bible and I learnt alot about God (stay with me, don't flame me yet), about His teachings, the way of life. After reading this book it gives a deeper insight into Christainity life, it teachs me how to live, The steps I must take in order to find the true purposes of my existence. Everything inside is a reminder, a guild to what you should do.

The non-believers after reading this would say, "we do not believe in Christ, therefore we should not buy this book." Look at it this way, do you not buy things you do not need? Do you not buy things that do not benefit you at all? Do you not waste money on brands and worthless items? If you do, then what is spending money on something that BENEFITS you?

This book teaches all about living, the life we were created to live, the morals and attitude we should live by, and NOT simply about being a christian alone. Being a christian and not following the teachings and commandments is not being a true christian at all.
