Woohooo.

One word to describe me now (and also everyone else), burnt. Today was one great fun day. Although we only had like 6 of us for the morning section. Wasn't that ideal because Douglas and Kelvin not planning to get wet, no extra clothes hehe, and then yes it rained and sun and rained and sun and rained and sun again. We ran in and out of the hall with our belongings alot of time. Things start getting fun when Guisheng and Tiffany turned up, solely because GuiSheng brought a mat and a volleyball (finally we had something to play with). JJ left for home not long after due to the quick changing weather, and yes the weather was abit spoilt lol.

Played volleyball, basketball, play with water, sand castle (pyramid instead.) building and sun tanning. The people from the morning sections spent the whole afternoon since 11am till 5pm in the sun. Yes we are all RED.

Finally Gillian, jL, Rickson and also Tiff's bf, Jun Rong and his fren Gabriel reached. So yeah, had a short game and then played for a while longer then we went to bathe and stuffs. Around 7 we sat at the bus station to picnic! Really fun haha, everyone is like each bring different food then share tgt. After that went for the musical fountain (oh man, it's a totally new thing from the last time i went..) it's really nice with special effects like fireball, fireworks and stuffs, best of all it only cost like $6 for 20mins of entertainment. Worth it man.

After that we took the train back to Vivocity, everyone went home leaving Me, Ai, Rickson and jL. We went up to the playground at Vivo and started doing lame stunts and take photos, in the end we ended up playing with the kids there ! And there was a slope we sat back facing on the ledge, Rickson asked me to pose PowerRanger and he pushed me and i flipped backwards down, this happens to jL as well (don't worry, it didn't hurt, it felt great actually. Thrilled). Basically there was a lot of strange statues (or figures) and we took pic with all of them, I like this one best:

Thank everyone that celebrated (advance) my birthday, and yes, I really like the drawing did by jL, it's great and I love it. A piggy bank box that helps me to save up money for my WACOM!! Yes, inside jL drew a wacom lol. And the outside looks like this:





















Yes, thats me and then the cutie by the side is my Ai =D. The black part at my hands there is a hole to slot the money in, yeah. Cool. Love it!

Before I start anything,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOUGLAS!

Wish ya all the best to you during your SIP. May everything go well in your life and that you'll stay happy always. Looking forward to the end of SIP and also the start of MP. Also can't wait to return back to school although I know you people are sick of being in there everyday. But I tell you, working in a office ain't fun at all. At least you get to see friends and more people in school =).

Anyway, take care lots and once again, happy 19th birthday.

Wow. Everyone is turning 19, a not very anticipated age. Haha. Anyway yes, I know I haven been blogging for donkey years. So well now I'm back, and to give a few updates.

14th July Saturday. The FUNs had a celebration at Balcony for Minfei's birthday (advance). It was really good because we haven seen each other for quite a long time and I meant everyone. About 15 of us went and we had dinner and it wasn't too expensive if you take the set dinner. Ordered a bucket of heineken and we took one breathe to glurp one whole bottle at one go. After that a few of them went home while the rest took cab down to boat quay for a drink at Friend's Club all the way till 3a.m. (Jiawen, Mabel, Willie and Stephy went off early)

15th July Sunday. Had a good rest from Yesterday. Headed down to airport to meet jL and Rickson for lunch. Mar's cg was there too. After lunch we went down to expo for Drama Ministry interview. Quite alot of people, there was from A - H (8 groups), 16 people for each group. So exciting and the interview is fun because 16 of us went in together. We went suppose to walk around the room and act out which ever environment the person describe (snowing, raining, etc.). Ok, both jL and Me didn't pass the 1st round of audition. But it's ok because we gave our best and the process was fun anyway, enjoyed it =). And big thanks to Rickson who stayed all the way there to support us.

16th July Monday. As usual, another day at work and finally completed my PowerPoint slides. Total of 284. Actually not very difficult but just tedious. And also after work went to have dinner with Ai at Parkway Parade.

17th July Tuesday. Celebrated Minfei's birthday today, skipped work because of him. He lost his wallet Yesterday but Thank God and bless those who found it because they called him up and returned it to him. Anyway, he cabbed down to Punggol for lunch together and then we sat a butt-rotting ride from Punggol all the way to Jurong East. Went to Fuji Ice Palace (http://www.fujiice.com.sg/) to Ice skate. Not bad because the person gave us unlimited time, we spent around 11 bucks each. And Ice skating feels different from roller skating because it's slippery and hard to control for me. But well, it's our second time and the both of us certainly skate quite well. Left the place at 6p.m and headed on a butt-rotting trip again to Ang Mo Kio. Met up with his DOTA buddies and we went to Kpool and then Kbox together. All the way until 2a.m when it closes. 7 of us, 5 jugs of beer, and 5 hours of singing. Thanks Minfei twin for my cab fare (thought should be me treating you instead?) and once again happy birthday.


So ya, this is basically how my few days went. Feeling really tired now because Yesterday even though I was tired and had a headache, I just couldn't go to sleep because of a certain reason. Fell asleep only when it was around 3.40a.m. Been sleeping late lately, therefore I think I should turn in early today before my pimples decide to give me a popping surprise.

Yet another Monday,

it appears that one week pass so fast. Anyone finding it difficult to breathe in this fast-paced concrete world? Its probably good if we can actually take a long and deep break from this journey, a holiday would be good...

Well, just an update about my weekend:

Friday - after work ended, went down to marina Seoul Garden to meet the rest of the Cellgroup people for dinner. A test of courage for jL =x. A very fun day as our table went crazy. Until around 10.30 then cabbed down with Ai to chalet at Changi Safra.

Saturday - Woke up in the afternoon, ate breakfast(Mac) bought by Jasper, Terrence and Joel. About 3p.m., Joel drove me to Singapore Expo for service. This weekend's service by Peter Wagner, quite a powerful service, and jokes from him too. After service went Ai's house to take my blades from her sister. And I bladed from her house (joochiat) to ecp, to changi Safra. The whole journey took me one hour. Ate 4 chicken wings, played mahjong, chit chat. Off to bed.

Sunday - Woke up too late at 10.30++, service already started. Anyway we had to check out. So cabbed with Ai and Huifang, I went Ai's house to sleep. Zzz~ until it was dinner time, ate and TV awhile before heading home.

Feels weird, haha. Because I don't have my lappy with me, but nvm, at least I have this lappy at work. So I should be fine heh. (don't really know what am I typing, getting rather laggy from the few days in chalet, and still feeling slpy) and its a disadvantage of holidays, it makes you lazy and tired.

A straight 4-day Emerge 2007 is seriously so enjoyable that I hardly get 5hours sleep everyday. Today is monday and I needa work, therefore I'm seriously worned out.

Welcome back!

Alright, I know I've just posted yesterday's post, yeah like I've mentioned, was really exhausted from all the excitement.

Every single day with the Lord is really getting better and better! Likewise, today is another fantastic day spent with the Lord. Started off the day by waking up at around 10a.m. and made my way to expo. Met up with Xiao-hei (Lexmi) and Tiffany at expo, and then we proceeded to hall 8 for the talentime at 12p.m.

Talentime had contestants performing dance, vocal, band, hosting, drama and even rapping! Fierce competition indeed, each competitor really gave their best and the performance is great. There is like so much undiscovered talents out there! The Emerge event is really a great event as it really helps to pick out the different talents available.

Until around 3p.m, the talentime program ended and Lexmi left us to join her cellgroup. So left with Tiffany and I. Went to hall 7 to look for Guisheng (He's supporting Jinlong for the NYP captain's ball event). We headed to the foodcourt to eat after awhile and also packed lunch for Jinlong.

Went back to hall 7 at 4p.m and had to queue for awhile before we can actually enter hall 8. Praise the Lord that even thou the crowd and the queue is long today, we manage to get in and secure seats. Today's event includes, make-up, costume, and design finals, "Who wants to become a missoniary" finals.

And really amazed by the design talents of the young people in the competition. There are able to design the costumes all by themselves and also professional make-ups on their own model. For the "Who wants to become a missionary" finalist, only one team got the max prize money which is $500 cash EACH (one team 3 member).

And we got Liu Gen Hong from Taiwan (good friend of Jay Chou) to sing two songs for us. After the 2nd song, He invited his girlfriend up on stage, and thats where he proposed to her right infront of all the crowd. Wow very romantic indeed, public proposal. And she agreed! (Well, she can't say no =x).

Pastor Kong decided that today the place is filled with Love, therefore the preaching is shortened, and today yes, the word is all about how much we love our precious God. Do we love Him as much as he love us? Are we willing to give up our life for Jesus whom gave up His for us?

And today, we ended at 9.50p.m. Where we actually get a chance to go bedok (about 10 of us from N20) to fellowship(we reached at 10.45p.m.) But yah, two different tables and after eating we just went home as it was already 11.30p.m.

Here I am, blogging, about the wonderful today, that is so well spent in my father's house. I am so looking forward to tomorrow, which is the very last day of EMERGE 2007. Hope that my friends, you all would be able to turn up for the finale tomorrow, where it would be packed with lots of people. Therefore if you are really coming. Do come 1-2 hour earlier.

wow.

one word to describe yesterday's EMERGE conference:

OVERWHELMING!

Wow. really a great performance and sermon.


I started off by attending the 1st session in the morning at 10a.m. There was worship, praise and prayer just like normal service and also the brainest youth finals. After that session, there was a long break inbetween where people can go and see some other activities in another hall (7) like, 3-3 basketball, soccer, arm wrestling. There were also backdrops for people to take photograph with and also many stalls selling a variety of food.

2p.m. later in the afternoon, my cellgroup mates and I went back to the hall to see the word power finals. I am so amazed by the 6 groups up on the stage, which are categorize by their campuses like, NTU, SIM/SMU and NUS. They are suppose to memorize 40 different verses, after which they are tested by given with a short phase (around 3 - 4 word) and they have to recite out the full verse WITH the punctuations, the chapter and verse number.

It ended at 4p.m. which we had to leave the hall. When we got outside, the queue for the 6p.m session is already super long. So yeah we queue for 2hrs before we finally got in. The bad part is friends whom we've invited are unable to join us because they came slightly later, and the response is so overwhelming that we have NO SPACE !! no space inside, super bad and they were waiting outside.

A few friend of mine, feeling hot and naturally frustrated, decided to leave. And here's something i wanna state it out. Dear friends, if you came with a wrong purpose and there's no point coming if you are really expecting something to happen but yet you close your heart. How do you receive when you do not reach out? How can anything come in when the door is closed? I hope this setback, this disappoint have not made u close your heart on God.

We really have to grow up, being matured. Not just physically matured, but mentally and spiritually matured. No point being big on the outside and small on the inside.

But thank God, I have another group of friends whom stayed and actually made it to watch the service in hall 7 where they have projectors. Praise the Lord that they stayed till the Parade of Schools ended. However it was a waste they went off before the word. But Im really glad that at least they really turned up. Thank God for that.

My sincere apologies that I am unable to play a good host to all of you in my father's house. I'll praying for all of you, hoping that you'll be able to be like US, understanding what made the change in our life.

The service was really enjoyable, we all went so high with all the dances, parade of schools, and even the taiwanese singer, TANK came and sang two songs for us. SUN came back secretly to visit us, and Faye from F.I.R was present too. However Faye could not sing here because she was seriously too expensive to hire. Best of all, our service was broadcast LIVE all over the world, in places like the United States on Christian TV. Normally government would charge around $3k for the broadcast, but praise the Lord, we got it for FREE!.

Shuttle Bus was provided for us to reach various location in Singapore. And thank God there is a one which leads straight back to my home.

I'm so looking forward to the Emerge today. Although I am working currently, and unable to attend the morning session, I definitely would not miss the night session.

An once a year event, held by City Harvert Church which is a must not miss event. This event aims to promote youth to compete and display (in order to find out) the talents they have in them. It also aims to build salvation in campus, school and workplace.

It is a 4-day event from 31May(Thurs) - 3June(Sun) with fun filled exciting programs and competition like, Word Power finals, Parade of Schools (POS, cheer leading), Debate finals, Beauty pageant and man hunt competition and more!

Hope that this video really made your day, because it made mine. I've watched this video over like maybe 30 - 40 times already. I just don't get sick of it.

Very amazed and attracted to the idea of this advertisement, it just uniquely stands out from the rest of the beer adverts I've seen. A very creative way of presenting a product like beer. Some might feel that its really lame because they are exaggerating the reactions.

But its really true, for everything in life, we REJOICE! Be thankful for what you have. If you know the fact that God created you, with nothing with you when you were born, then you should rejoice now that you have so much with you.

Most of all rejoice, for the real treasure for you is in heaven. Rejoice in every circumstances you face, be it difficult ones or good ones. We learn by falling down.

For those of you reading that is staying in Singapore, you would have notice that there is this new drink, a product of Singapore, called "Whatever" and "anything". Ok they are really creative and smart to capture the market like this because people often can not make up their minds on choice of drink.

And for your information, in the drink advertisement, if you've notice, its the same crew from the advertisement of cheers beer. They are from thailand and I really feel that the acting of the actor is really realistic and great.
